RankLens is built and operated by RankLens LLC, a United States company ("RankLens", "we", "us"). We provide a local SEO reporting platform for marketing agencies and businesses. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information - name, email address, and login credentials for you and users you create.
• Website performance data - data about the websites you connect, retrieved from the services listed below.
• Billing information - handled entirely by Stripe; we never store card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data - basic logs (pages viewed, actions taken) used to operate and secure the service.

Google user data

When you connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or Google Business Profile, RankLens accesses data from those services through Google's official APIs with your explicit authorization. Specifically, for the properties you choose to connect we access:

• Google Search Console (read-only) - search performance data (queries, clicks, impressions, positions), URL indexing status, and the list of sites on your account so you can pick which to connect.
• Google Analytics (read-only) - aggregated traffic and conversion metrics for the properties you connect: sessions, traffic sources, landing pages, and key events. We never access individual visitor data.
• Google Business Profile - your business locations and their metrics (calls, clicks, direction requests, views) and reviews, so they can be shown in your dashboard and reports.

RankLens's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms:

• Google data is used only to provide the reporting features you see in the dashboard - never for advertising, and never sold.
• Google data is shared only with the users you authorize on your account (for example, a client login you create for their own website).
• Humans do not read this data except with your permission for support, for security purposes, or where required by law.
• You can disconnect Google access at any time from the Integrations page, or revoke it at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting stops all further access.

AI features

Some RankLens features (such as the AI site analysis) process aggregated performance metrics - including aggregated data retrieved from Google APIs - through Anthropic's Claude API to generate insights shown only in your own dashboard and reports. This data is used solely to provide these user-facing features. It is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and our AI provider does not train its models on data submitted through its API. The use of raw or derived Google user data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third-party services

We use trusted processors to provide the service: Stripe (payments), Google APIs (Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile, PageSpeed), and SEO data providers (search results and backlink data for rank tracking and competitor analysis). Each receives only the data needed for its function.

Data retention & deletion

Performance history is retained while your account is active so trends remain useful. Deleting a website removes its data; closing your account removes all associated data within 30 days. Email hello@ranklens.com for deletion requests.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored on access-controlled servers. Google API tokens are stored encrypted and used only server-side.

Cookies

This marketing site sets no cookies at all. The app at app.ranklens.com uses a single essential cookie to keep you signed in - no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, ever.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
