Win the map

Your Google rank isn't a number. It's a map.

RankLens runs the same Google Maps search from every point of a grid across town - 5×5 up to 13×13, half-mile to 3-mile spacing - and paints where you win green and where you vanish red. Re-scans run automatically every two weeks, you get 30 on-demand scans a month on top, and none of it costs credits. Ever.

RankLens rank grid - colored rank bubbles across a 7x7 map of the service area, scan history strip with timelapse, and the local pack leaderboard with the tracked business highlighted

☝ Green bubbles are top-3 finishes, the strip above the map is scan history, and the leaderboard on the right names who holds the pack where you don't.

The leaderboard

Every scan doubles as a competitor scan

The same searches that place your bubbles record everyone else's. RankLens aggregates every competitor across every grid point, scores them with the identical formula it scores you with, and keeps the top ten - rating, review count, best rank, and share of the map.

  • Your profile slots into the leaderboard with a YOU badge, so the gap is never abstract
  • Hover any grid point to see who holds the local pack at that exact spot, top 3 with ratings
  • Map pack share = the percentage of the grid where you're in Google's 3-pack, stored with every scan so history has it too
LOCAL PACK LEADERBOARD · "DRAIN CLEANING"
#1 Apex Plumbing · ★4.9 · 412 reviews · in the pack on 68% of the grid
#2 · YOUR PROFILE
YOU  ★4.8 · 287 reviews · in the pack on 55% · best rank #1 downtown
THE GAP
125 reviews and the north side of the grid. That's the whole strategy, written by one scan.

No login needed

Track any profile - yours, a competitor's, a prospect's

A rank grid doesn't need the profile owner's permission. Find any Business Profile on Google, hit Track, and grid it - your own locations, the rival who keeps beating you, or the prospect you're pitching Tuesday. Service-area businesses without a storefront pin are handled properly.

  • Profiles tracked without a Google login still get rank grids, citations and review links
  • Public stats refresh weekly - rating and review count, one Maps lookup per location per week
  • Connect the real Google account later and the profiles merge automatically, history intact
TUESDAY · PITCH PREP
Track the prospect's profile. No login, no permission, about 30 seconds.
WEDNESDAY · FIRST SCAN IN
Avg rank 12.4 · in the pack on 18% of the grid · red across three suburbs they swear they serve.
THURSDAY · THE MEETING
You open with their map, not your deck. SIGNED

Beyond the grid

The rest of your Google Business Profile, watched daily

GBP metrics, daily

Calls, website clicks, direction requests, search views and maps views for every location - snapshotted daily and compared as rolling 28-day windows, this 28 days against the last, with a green or red delta on every tile.

Snapshotted daily · rolling 28-day deltas

Suspension watch

Every metrics refresh checks Google's official status for each profile. The moment one goes suspended or disabled, you get a critical alert with reinstatement steps plus email to the owner and the agency - and a recovery alert when it's live again.

Checked on every metrics refresh

Scan history & timelapse

Every scan becomes a colored tile: average rank, pack share, date. A delta chip compares against the previous scan, and the timelapse button replays the map scan by scan - the before-and-after your reports have been missing.

New tile every 14 days · auto-scans run 8am-noon local

40 results deep

Most grid tools stop at 20. RankLens checks 40 deep, so the map can show a real #23 instead of a shrug - while the headline average keeps the industry 20+ convention, so your numbers stay comparable.

Grids that fit your market

Multiple keywords per location, each its own grid chip. Move the center up to 30 miles from the business, pick the zoom, and choose 5×5 for a tight neighborhood or 13×13 for a metro.

Configure once · re-scans itself every 14 days
Illustrative scenario A drain-cleaning company ranks #1 from the office - and from the owner's phone, parked outside it. The first 9×9 scan shows green for a mile, amber at two, and red across the entire east side, where one competitor holds the pack on most points. Two location pages and a review push later, the timelapse replays the red field turning amber, then green. The map was the strategy - and then the proof.

The math

Depth nobody checks by hand

169real searches in one 13×13 scan - every point gets its own result
30on-demand re-scans a month - automatic biweekly scans never count
$0in credits, ever - grid scans are part of the flat plan
Honest limits: rank grids measure Google Maps local results for the keywords you configure - one keyword per grid. On-demand re-scans cap at 30 per calendar month, resetting on the 1st; the automatic every-2-weeks scans are unlimited and uncounted, and they run 8am to noon business-local time because overnight SERPs are noisier.

This page stops where two others begin: the review engine (requests, sequences, AI replies) and citations (the 21-source checklist and NAP scan) each get their own tour.
